Using Tripsy On All Your Devices

You can use Tripsy on as many iPhones, iPads, and Macs as you'd like and by using a free Tripsy account you can keep all of your data in sync across all those devices. For PRO customers, your Tripsy account is also used to allow you to access your calendar feed and to handle email forwarding.

New Users

When you first launch Tripsy as a new user, you'll be greeted by our onboarding prompt. One of the options here is to Forward Your Reservation which will guide you through how you can forward your trip reservations for the first time.

To make it super easy to create a Tripsy account, we'll create a Tripsy account for you with the email address you used to forward the email reservation from. For example, if you forward a flight booking email using [email protected] then your Tripsy account would be linked to [email protected].

TIP: Because we use the email address you forward your first reservation from to create your account, this allows you use any of the masked email services, such as Apple's Hide My Email or Fastmail's Masked Email, for your Tripsy account.

Just make sure you've created the relevant email address first and then forward your first reservation from that address.

These accounts don't have a password set by default and so you can't log in to them via our normal login process as below. However, if you have Passwords syncing via your iCloud account between your devices, you should be automatically signed in when you open Tripsy on another device.

Of course, you can always set a password of your choice by following our steps here.

Sign in With Apple

Prefer to use your Apple account to create and login to your Tripsy account? We've got you covered - before you forward any emails, tap on the icon at the top right of the trips list and you should see Login or create an account. You can then choose the Sign in with Apple option to create a new Tripsy account that's tied to your Apple account.

Manually Signing In

If you have an existing account that was created before our new onboarding process, or don't have the ability to sync passwords via iCloud (e.g. a work issued device) then you can sign in manually when installing Tripsy on a new device:

  • Open Tripsy
  • Tap on the icon at the top right of the trips list
  • You should see Login or create an account.
  • Tap Have An Account?
  • Enter your email address and password to sign in.

How Often Does My Tripsy Data Sync?

Once new activities or trips are added, they should sync to your Tripsy account straight away as long as you have an internet connection on your device at the time. If you have a lot of activities, there may be a short delay in syncing, but this will very much depend on the speed and quality of your internet connection.

Can I Share A Tripsy Account?

Whilst it is possible for multiple people to use the same Tripsy account, we strongly recommend against this as it doesn't give you access to certain features such as Favorite Guests and Assigning Guests to Activities

Instead, each person using Tripsy should have their own accounts and then use our trip sharing feature to allow other people to see and collaborate on specific trips as needed.

Tripsy PRO Subscriptions & Lifetime Purchases

In most cases, your Tripsy PRO subscription or our Lifetime PRO purchase should automatically be picked up across your devices, as long as you're signed into the same Apple account on those devices.

Whilst we do record your PRO status on your Tripsy account, your subscription and purchases are handled entirely via the App Store.

If you switch Apple accounts or regions on a regular basis, you will likely run into some issues as Tripsy needs to check your subscription status against the App Store every now and then; whilst we've tried to make this as minimal as possible we can't control exactly when this happens as a lot of that process is handled by Apple on your device.
