Sharing Your Trips with Others

Are you travelling with friends, family, or work colleagues and want to share your trip details with them then keep reading as we've got some great options to let you collaborate with others on trips, or simply let them have a read-only view of your itinerary in the app.

Sharing your trip starts by going into the trip in question and tapping the three dots at the top-right of the screen and choosing Share Trip. You'll see two options to share with other Tripsy users:

• Invite New Guest: This is the best way to add someone to your trip who will be travelling with you and  you've shared a trip with before. When you select this option, you'll be taken to the Guests list for the trip in question and tapping + Invite Guests will let you add anyone who has been added to previous trips. You can still add a new guest from the Invite Guests screen, just tap the Invite New Guest button and you'll be able to send an invite via the share sheet.

• Share with a Friend: This let's you quickly send a view-only invite to a friend by sharing an invite via email or a messaging app (e.g. Messages, Signal, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp).

  When sharing via this method, the sharing permissions default to view-only and are set so that the person you're sharing with won't be marked as travelling with you  and as such they'll see the trip in their Friends' Trips list.

  • If the person you're sharing with already has Tripsy installed and has registered for an account, the link will automatically open Tripsy and allow them to accept the invite.
  • If they don't have Tripsy installed, they'll be provided with a link to the App Store to download Tripsy, they can then sign up for an account and revisit the link to accept the invite once everything is setup.

When adding guests, you'll be able to choose the permissions they have to your trip which can be changed at any point.

Tripsy PRO Users: Share Your Pro Features with Trip Guests

As aa thank you to our Tripsy PRO users, we happy to also extend almost all of our Tripsy PRO features to your invited guests for the trip in question.

Your guests will be able to see documents, expenses, weather forecasts, timezone changes, and even get flight alerts for the trip you've shared with them.

For example, if you share your trip to Paris with your Uncle Frank and your cousin Kevin, they'll both be able to access all of the PRO features for that trip.

The only limitations are around features that aren't trip specific, which means:

• Guests who aren't also Tripsy PRO users won't be able to forward emails into the trip after they've used their 10 included email forwards as a new user.
• Guests who aren't also Tripsy PRO users won't be able to use the Calendar Feed or see their calendar events in their itineraries.

Of course members of your Family Sharing group will have access to all of your Tripsy PRO features.
