Customizing Your Trip Overview

To make sure your trips are truly yours, we've made it possible to customize how each trip's overview is laid out in a few different ways. The options here are specific to each trip, which means you can make changes based on your needs for different types of trips.

To get to these options, open up your trip and scroll to the very bottom, you'll then see Customize, tapping this will bring you to the Customize Overview.

Country Flags

By default, Tripsy will show a flag for each of the countries where you have activities assigned to you, or activities that are not assigned to a specific guest.

For example, if you have a trip with multiple guests and one guest is flying in from another country, but their flights are only assigned to them, you won't see the country flag for the country the flight originated from.

Turning this option off will hide the country flags entirely for you within this specific trip.

Shortcuts

At the top of each trip, below the trip details, you'll both the New Activity button as well as shortcuts to see all activities of a particular category within your trip.

By default, these are: Flights, Stays, Places, Routes, Car Rental.

Within the customization options, you can move the order of the shortcuts by tapping / clicking and dragging each shortcut to move its order. You can also remove any shortcut by tapping the red - symbol at top-right of each category.

Similarly, tapping Add New Shortcut will let you add any category or custom category to your shortcuts.

One thing to be aware of, the shortcut for each category will only show up if you have activities in that particular category, and for 'Places' this will show activities that don't fall into any of the other default categories.

Widgets

Each trip will display five different widgets that give you different information about your trip. You can rearrange the order by simply dragging the three horizontal lines to the right of each widget's name.

The widgets are in the following order by default:

Next Activity: Will show you the next activity in the trip that is either not assigned to a specific guest, or assigned to you.

For flights, we'll show the specific flight information including flight number, and the departure and arrival airports and times.

For other activities, we'll show the date and time, along with the name of the activity.
Itinerary: For upcoming trips, we'll show you the activities on the first day of your trip, for current trips (ones happening now) we'll show activities for the current day.

Only activities assigned to you, or not assigned to a specific guest will show here.

You can also tap on the heading to go directly to your itineary.
Expenses: If you're a Tripsy PRO user, or are a guest on a trip shared by someone with Tripsy PRO, you'll be able to see any expenses for your trip.

If you have multiple categories of expenses, we'll show a total at the bottom of the widget based on your chosen currency via Settings > Currency.

If you have more than four types of expenses, the most recently entered 4 categories will be shown, and then you'll see 'Others' for any other category.

Tapping on the header will take you into the expenses list for the trip.
Documents: If you're a Tripsy PRO user, or are a guest on a trip shared by someone with Tripsy PRO, you'll be able to see any documents added to the trip. Tapping the header will take you to the documents view for that trip.
Latest Added: This shows you the latest activities added to the trip, even if these are not in the itinerary (because they don't have dates assigned).
