Creating Custom Activity Categories

We've tried to include a wide range of activity types within Tripsy to allow you to add all the parts of your trip, but we know this won't cover everything for everyone. That's why we've made it possible to create custom categories within Tripsy.

Custom categories can only currently be created for regular activities, so you can't currently create a custom route type.

Creating Custom Activities

There's two ways to star to create a new custom activity:

1. Go to Settings > Custom Activities and tap New Category
2. When creating a new activity within a trip, tap the three dots at the top-right, and tap New Category

You'll then be shown the new category screen and you'll need to pick the following:

• A name for the category, this will be how the custom category shows up when using this to add new activities. This name will also be used as part of the search filters, so fore example if you create an 'Ice Cream' category, your search results will look for this term.
• Choose a color for the icon from those presented
• Choose an icon that best represents the type of activity you're wanting to have a custom category for

Once you're happy, tap Save and you'll have a new custom category available.

All of your custom categories can be found in Settings > Custom Categories and will be shown under the Custom Categories heading when adding new activites.

Of course, you can re-arrange the new activity shortcuts to add these to your pinned categories.

Editing & Deleting Custom Categories

To edit or delete a custom category:

• Go to Settings > Custom Categories
• Find the category you want to change and tap on this to open it. Once inside:
  • You can change the name, color, and icon as above and tap Save once you're happy with your changes. This will update the category name, color, and icon for any activities saved against the category in question
  • Scrolling to the bottom of the options for icons, you'll see Delete Custom Category:
    • If you don't yet have any activities created with this custom category, the category will simply be deleted.
    • If you have activities saved under this custom category, you'll be prompted to select a new category for each activity one by one.
