Moving Activities In Your Itinerary

By default, Tripsy will organize your activity based on the dates and times entered for each activity. Where no time is specified, but a date is provided, the activities will be shown in the order that they were added to the trip.

Of course, we know plans can change, and so when they do we've made it very easy to adjust order of your activities to suit your new plans.

Updating Dates & Times for a Single Activity

If you have a specific date and / or time change, for example let's say that your dinner reservation got moved up from 7:30pm until 8pm, you can easily update the date and time for that specific activity.

Changing Dates

To change the dates of your activity, just tap on the date that needs to change, either the start or end (or check-in and check-out for stays) and you'll be presented with the date picker.

  • The available dates will be limited to the dates you've set for your trip, and so if you pick a date just outside of that range, Tripsy will prompt you to update your trip dates accordingly.
  • If your start and end date are on the same day already, we'll automatically adjust the end date to match the new start date.
  • If your end date is on another day, we'll adjust the new end date to be the same number of days from your original start date. For example, if your start date was on the 16th of a month with an end date of the 17th, and you change the start date to the 18th, the new end date would be the 19th

Changing Times

Similar to changing your dates, you just need to tap on the relevant time that you need to change. This will then bring up the time picker with the current time.

  • On iPhone and iPad, you'll have a time picker for both hour and minutes, whereas on macOS you'll be able to type the time. You can type this as 24 hour time (e.g. 17:00) or as 12 hour time (e.g. 5pm).
  • When changing the start time for events on the same day, we'll adjust the end time accordingly. For example, if you move an activity forward by 15 minutes from 19:15 to 19:00, where the original end time was 22:00, we'll adjust the end time to be 21:45.

A Note About Transport Activities

For any transport activities such as flights, trains, car journeys, etc, you'll need to first tap on the three dots at the bottom right of the activity and choose Edit Information before you can edit the dates and times of the activity.

Where routing is available, currently via Apple Maps, we'll also try to adjust your arrival time where appropriate, this would currently apply to car, walking, and bike routes, when you adjust the departure time.

Changing the Date for Multiple Activities

If you want to move multiple activities from one day to another, you can do so by:

  • Tapping the three dots at the bottom left of the itinerary
  • Tap Select Items
  • Select, by tapping on the circle to the left of each item, every activity that you want to move,
  • Tap the calendar icon and you'll be able to set a new date.

In this case, times will be retained from one day to the other.

Drag and Drop to Change Activity Order

As of Tripsy 3.8.11 (May 2026), we've made it possible to re-arrange your activities by simply dragging them to a suitable spot in your itinerary.

  • On iPhone and iPad, lightly tap and hold the activity to begin to drag it.
  • On macOS, just tap (or click) and hold to start dragging.

Depending on if your activity already has a time set, you'll see two different experiences:

Moving Activities with a Time Already Set

When you move an activity that already has a time set, either within the same day or to another day in your itinerary, Tripsy will suggest a time for you based on other activities on the day in question. You can change this if required and click Save when you're happy.

Moving Activities with No Time Set

If no time is set on an activity, you can simply drag this to any space on your itinerary, even between timed events. This is great if you want to plan some shopping, or maybe lunch, but you don't have a set schedule.

Removing Dates & Times from Activities

If you need to change plans, but maybe don't yet have a new time or date for the activity, you can:

  • Tapping on the date will give you the option to Clear Date & Time - this will remove all dates and times form the activity. This will then no longer show in your itinerary view, but will be in your Latest Added section from the trip's homepage.
  • Tapping on the time will give you the option to Clear Time which will remove the times from your activity. This will also remove the end date if you had a multi-day event.
