Personalize Your Trip Background
When you first create a new trip, we try and match a background image to the trip based on the title of that trip, but don't worry you don't have to stick with our choice and you've got three fantastic choices of backgrounds for your trips.
It all starts by tapping on the three dots from the trip's home page, then choose Change Background and you'll have the following options to customize your trip background.
Images from Unsplash
The Images tab allows you to search and choose from more than 1 million high-quality photos from Unsplash as your trip's background. We auto-populate your trip's name into the search field, but change this to your hearts content to find that perfect image.
Color Backgrounds
Want something a bit more simple? Just tap the 'Colors' tab and you'll see a range of beautiful background colors to choose from.
Using Your Own Photos
Tap the + and you can choose your own photos from your device's photos library - this might be that perfect shot from your last visit to a specific country, or maybe that group photo of the people taking your next trip with you.
Background photos are shared with everyone invited to the trip, and those guests with 'Collaborator' access can also update the trip background if they want to.
Tips for Using Your Own Images
Whilst you can just use any photo or image from your own photo library, we've had a few customers ask about the 'right' sizing to have images look great in their trips.
Because Tripsy works across a range of devices, and the trip background is used in a few different places, there's no hard and fast rule for what will work well, but our general guidance would be:
- Use square aspect ratio images (1:1) as these generally scale better to fill the different uses of the trip background.
- We'd recommend a resolution of 2000 x 2000 pixels, this should work great across all devices.
