Creating a Trip
Your journey through Tripsy starts with a trip, and each trip contains your activities and itineary.
To create a new trip, just tap the orange + at the bottom right of your trips list and you'll be presented with the new trip creation prompt.
Naming Your trip
You'll start by entering your Trip Name and this can be anything you want, but we recommend it being something you'll recognise, especially if you want to share your trip later on.
As you type a trip name, you'll notice the background starts to change as we try to select a background image that matches, don't worry if you don't like this, we'll go through changing this later.
Setting Your Trip's Dates
When you tap Set Dates you'll be taken to the date-picker, here you can select a date or dates for your trip,
- If this is just a day-trip, maybe a work conference, or a trip to the beach, you can just tap once on the date in question and then tap Confirm.
- For a range of dates, for example a vacation or a longer trip, you would tap the start date of your trip followed by the end date.
TIP: We'd recommend making sure you include all dates of your trip, including travel days especially if your return flight may end up landing on the following day.
Choosing a Background
As mentioned above, when you start typing a trip name, we'll try to pick out a suitable background image for your trip that's used on your trips list and when viewing the trip overview. We get these from Unsplash, and we've tried to make sure we're getting the best photos available.
Of course, everyone has different tastes and so when you tap Background you'll be able to choose your own background that suits your trip. You have the option to search Unsplash, choose a solid color, or add your own photo, and we've got a full guide on how to change your background.
Adding Guests
If you're just starting out with Tripsy, you likely won't have any previously added or favorite guests, and you can then share your trip once it's created with new guests.
If you have shared trips in the past, you can tap Guests and see any guests you've previously shared trips with. You can also remove any automatically added favorite guests from this page, just tap on their name and scroll down and choose Remove Guest.
