Moving Activities to Another Trip
If an activity has found its way into the wrong trip, or you've decided to split a longer trip into multiple shorter trips, you can easily move activities from one trip to another.
Moving Activities from the Itinerary
Once you're in the itinerary view for the trip you want to move an activity from, you can move one or more activities.
Moving a Single Activity
- Tap and hold on the activity in question
- Tap Move to Another Trip (Right-click on macOS)
- You'll be shown your trips, just tap on the one you want to move the activity to.
Moving Multiple Activities at Once
You can move multiple activities from one trip to another, this is handy if you need to move a range of activities to a new trip.
- From your itinerary list, tap the three dots at the bottom of the list
- Tap Select Items
- You'll now see checkboxes to the left of each of your activities.
- Select the activities you want to move.
- Tap Move and you'll be asked which trip to move the activities to.
Moving An Activity from Within the Activity Details
As well as moving activities from the itinerary page, you can also move an activity when viewing its details.
- Open the activity in question.
- Tap the three dots at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Move to Another Trip.
- As above, you'll be asked which trip to move this activity to.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Will my documents and expenses be moved when I move activities to another trip.
- Yes! Any documents attached to the activity (such as emails, documents you've added manually) and the total cost of each activity will be moved to the new trip.
- What if the trip dates don't match between the original trip and the trip I'm moving the activity to?
- At the moment, Tripsy will not update the dates on the new trip. The activity will be moved, but will show under Recently Added until you manually adjust the dates of your trip.
- What if an assigned guest is not in the destination trip?
- If you've previously assigned guests to an activity and those guests are not guests in the trip you've moving the activity to they will be removed from the activity.
