How Do I Add My Flights to Tripsy?

It's always a good idea to add your flights to your trip, as you can see when you'll arrive at your destination and plan any activities around that, such as any travel from the airport to your hotel or meeting.

The easiest way to add flights to Tripsy us to use our email automation feature, available as part of Tripsy PRO, where in most cases your flight details should be picked up automatically and created for you in the relevant trip.

However, if you aren't using Tripsy PRO, or where we can't pick up the flight details automatically you can add these manually. To add your flight details manually:

  • Open the relevant trip.
  • Tap New Activity and then tap Flights.
  • You'll now be given the option to enter either:
    • Your Flight Number to find the specific flight you've booked.
    • The airport name or code (e.g LHR, JFK) - you'll be asked for both the departure and arrival airports.
  • Select the date of your flight, you'll see the date picker is limited to the dates of your trip.
  • Depending on if you gave a specific flight number or just airport details, you'll see one or more flights available on the chosen date with departure and arrival times as well as the flight number.
  • Tap on the correct flight and Tripsy will allow you to add more details such as:
    • Reservation code
    • Seat
    • Seat Class
    • Total Cost
  • You can also add any notes and attach documents to the flight activity at this point.
  • When you're happy click Save.

You'll then be taken back to the New Activity screen in case you want to add any additional activities, such as your hotel stay. If you tap the x at the top right of the screen you'll be taken back to your trip and you'll see your flight has been added to the trip.

Tripsy PRO Feature: If you're subscribed to Tripsy PRO, or purchased our Lifetime PRO unlock, you'll be able to get flight alerts starting from 48 hours before your flight departure.

Updating Flight Details

Unlike other activities within Tripsy, you can't adjust the date and time directly within the flight details, this has to be done by tapping on the three dots at the bottom right of the activity and then tapping Edit Information.

We made this extra step a requirement to prevent accidental changes to flight details, especially if you're using our flight alerts feature.

If your flight schedule changes and you're either not using Tripsy PRO or the change is outside of 48 hours from departure, you'll be able to update the new departure time and Tripsy will update the arrival time based on the original estimated flight duration.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's my Flight Number?

A flight number is a code for an airline service consisting of a two-character airline designator and a 1 to 4 digit number in the aviation industry. For example, AA107 is an American Airlines service from London (Heathrow) to New York (JFK). You can find this number in your ticket, receipt, or email confirming your flight details.

My Flight Isn't Being Found, What Do I Do?

Sometimes Tripsy won't be able to find your flight and we're always working to improve this. Common reasons for issues finding a flight can be down to our flight data partners not yet having the flight details, especially if these have not been provided by the airline.

In this case, you can contact our support by sending us an email to [email protected] so we can investigate what may be causing the issue.
