Accessing Your Tripsy Data via AI Tools

As AI tools become more popular and powerful, we wanted to give those who want to use those tools the option to do so whilst making sure that you remain in complete control when and how your data is connected.

So, rather than building AI tools directly into Tripsy, we've built an MCP server, along with a fully features API and CLI (Command Line Interface) for power users who want to explore more.

Connecting to AI Tools We've Verified

Whilst we can't provide direct support for how to use AI tools, we have put together guides for some selected AI tools that we've verified work well with our MCP server, and we plan to keep adding to this list as we can.

Connecting to Other AI Tools with our MCP Server

You can connect your preferred AI tools of choice via https://mcp.tripsy.app and as long as your tool support OAuth for authenticating, you'll be prompted to login to your Tripsy account to make the connection.

Public API and CLI

To allow you to interact with your Tripsy data in multiple ways, beyond AI tools, we have a public API that's documented here: https://docs.api.tripsy.app

We've also built a CLI tool that's available on GitHub

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is my Tripsy data exposed to AI tools automatically?
    • No! Unless you choose to connect your AI tools to the Tripsy MCP server, none of your account data will be exposed to any AI tool; the choice to connect will always be yours.
  • I don't know the password for my Tripsy account, how do I authorise the connection to my AI tool?
    • If you created your account via 'Sign in with Apple' you should see the option to sign in with your Apple account when trying to authenticate the connection and no password would be required.
    • If your Tripsy account was created automatically when you forwarded your first email to your unique Tripsy email, you won't have set a password but you can easily set this by following our guide on how to change your password.
  • By authenticating with an AI tool, am I giving them my Tripsy account details?
    • No, we use an OAuth token to allow the AI tools you've chosen to connect to to access your account and those tokens can be revoked if required.  We are looking to build an interface for managing your tokens, but for now just drop us a note to [email protected] with the name of the AI tool you want to remove, and your Tripsy account email if different to the one you're contact us from, and we'll remove the relevant tokens.
